Pam snubs canine co-star
Pamela Anderson got upset when she found out that she would need to do a scene with a dog in her latest film “Superhero Movie”. She reportedly refused to act alongside the dog because the scene goes against PETA’s guidelines for using real animals in movies. An active animal rights campaigner, the actress supposedly stopped shooting for a while and left the set. An insider confirmed, “Pamela left the set and went for a walk. She needed a time out. She was that upset.”
The scene calls for Pam’s character to call for her dog, which then becomes invisible as it is picked up by the actress. The scene was eventually cut even though director Craig Mazin tried to work around the actress’ refusal by piecing together footage of the dog that was filmed without Pam.
The busty blonde has a strong connection with PETA. She even stopped wearing her beloved UGG sheepskin boots when she realized they were made from animals. She wrote on her blog: “I’m getting rid of my UGGs. I feel so guilty for that craze being started around my ‘Baywatch’ days – I used to wear them with my red swimsuit to keep warm – never realising that they were SKIN! I thought they were shaved kindly. People like to tell me all the time that I started that trend – yikes!”
